The account
What every account gets
There are no feature tiers. What lands on your invoice is decided by your usage, not by a package you have to pick up front.
Account, portal and documentation
One way in for you and your team, with roles, projects and invoices in one place.
gh0stcli with Claude Code or Codex
You describe your goal, your AI assistant prepares the steps, you approve them. You bring the assistant yourself.
Domain, certificates and network rules
Your app is reachable over an encrypted HTTPS connection, without you administering a cluster.
Standard storage
Storage for your app, measured hourly and charged on the size you plan.
Costs in view
Running costs, balance and invoices are in the portal at any time, updated hourly.
Starting credit
€15 to begin with. It appears on the invoice as a price reduction, not as a payment.
Support from people
A person usually answers your support request within 24 hours on business days, on a best-effort basis. Availability is best effort and measured publicly.
Work out your cost
Price your month before you create an account
The base fee is fixed. Everything else follows what your app actually uses.
What drives your cost
The base fee is the same for everyone. On top of that you pay for what your app actually uses. Operations are agreed separately, if you want us to take them on.
- Compute, storage and traffic are measured hourly and billed by usage. For a Managed App, resources are billed by the reserved amount.
- Invoices are paid from your credit first. If it does not cover them, you receive an invoice to pay.
- Credit you paid for does not expire. Only the starting credit runs out, after 90 days.
- Managed operations and support are added only when you explicitly agree to them.
If you would rather not run it yourself
Operations are added per app
For businesses only (within the meaning of § 14 BGB). All prices are net plus VAT. Managed Basic and Managed Business are service levels for a single app, not price tiers. What is fixed is the service package of SLA and support, which the service fee covers. You choose the size of your app freely and can change it at any time, and its resources are billed by the reserved amount, measured to the minute and invoiced monthly. The service fee starts on the handover day, which is only after we have observed successful backups and carried out one restore. The minimum term is 3 months from the handover day. These are launch prices for the first 20 Managed contracts, unchanged for those contracts for 12 months.

Enterprise
Per contract
Scope and price are in your order form, not on this page.
For organisations that run their own applications and need dedicated capacity, named contacts and documents for procurement and audit.
- Your own dedicated nodes at the prices in your order form
- Named contacts, reachable by phone during business hours
- A monthly report and a quarterly review
- A security and incident schedule and an exit plan with a yearly dry run
- Support as in self-service: an answer usually within 24 hours on business days, on a best-effort basis, no response time of its own
- You operate your applications yourself; Managed Apps can be added
Work outside a service level costs €120 net per hour during business hours, billed in 15-minute steps. For migrations you get a written estimate first. Apps that are not in our catalogue are operated individually under an order form, with a one-off setup at a fixed price. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, excluding public holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia.
What the price buys
A server costs less. Running it does not.
The honest comparison is not a server against gh0stcloud. It is a server plus the time it takes to run it.
| A server costs less. Running it does not. | A server of your own | gh0stcloud self-service | Managed App |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cluster, network, TLS certificates | You set them up and renew them | Included, renewed automatically | Included, renewed automatically |
| Operating system and platform updates | You apply them | We apply them | We apply them |
| Backups | You build and test them | You set them up yourself, for example with your database's own backup feature. The platform has no backup feature for them | We set them up, observe every backup and test the restore |
| Monitoring | You build it | Included, separated per organisation | We monitor your app |
| Updates of your application | You | You | We do. Fixes in the maintenance window, new minor and major versions only with your consent |
| A fault at night | Yours to notice and fix | The platform repairs itself first, your app stays yours | The platform repairs itself first, we respond in business hours |
| Your time each month | Hours | Minutes | Only the decisions |
If running servers is something you enjoy and your time is free, a server of your own is cheaper. For most teams, that time is the most expensive line on the bill.
Common questions
What to know before you create your account
What happens to the starting credit?
It lands on your account at sign-up and pays your invoices until it is used up or expires after 90 days. It appears on the invoice as a price reduction, not as a payment.
Can I top up my account?
Yes. You can add credit at any time. Invoices are paid from it first; only if it does not cover the invoice do you receive an invoice to pay. Credit you paid for does not expire.
What comes on top of the base fee?
Compute, storage and traffic by usage, measured hourly, plus a platform share for platform services, network access and operations. The calculator quotes that share at its maximum, so your invoice is never above it. Operations, support and administration are added only when you explicitly agree to them.
What is the difference between Individual and Company?
The base fee and the platform features are the same. Individual is for one person. Company adds company and invoicing details for teams and businesses. Managed Apps are for businesses only.
What does it cost if you run an app for me?
With Managed Basic and Managed Business you pay the service fee for the service package of SLA and support, per app and month, net plus VAT. On top come the base fee and the resources of your app: you choose the size freely and can change it at any time, and billing follows the reserved amount. Storage can be increased but not decreased. For some apps the service fee may be staged by size class. If you reduce the app, the size class stays until the minimum term ends. The current amounts are shown above with the two service levels. The service fee starts on the handover day, and the minimum term is 3 months from the handover day. Apps that are not in our catalogue are operated individually under an order form, and you hear the figure before it is incurred.
What support do I get in self-service?
A person usually answers your support request within 24 hours on business days, on a best-effort basis. Availability is best effort: we aim as high as we can and publish what we measure on the status page, but we do not guarantee a figure.
What happens if you are unavailable?
The platform is built to repair itself first. When Falk Hähner is unavailable, Linus Stiehm takes over operations, and for specialist depth we bring in experienced operators from our network. The page on how operations keep running has the details.
Can I leave again?
Yes. Self-service can be cancelled at any time with one month's notice, for individuals and businesses alike. A Managed App runs for at least 3 months from the handover day; after that you can cancel it at any time with effect from the end of a month. If it ends earlier, the service fees for the rest of the minimum term are due. We tell you that amount before you order. There is no exit fee, and paid credit you did not use is refunded.
When does Enterprise make sense?
When you need dedicated capacity of your own, named contacts with a phone line during business hours, or documents for procurement and audit. Enterprise has no response time of its own: we usually answer support requests within 24 hours on business days on a best-effort basis, as in self-service. If you need committed response times for an app, book it as a Managed App.
